Summary: SABC 2’s Morning Live Show was broadcast from OR Tambo International Airport which came to a standstill on Tuesday, the 23 October 2007, as thousands of rugby fans were there to welcome home the Springboks as World Cup Winners.
Event Details:

Air Time TV OB was there to capture and record the amazing energy of united South Africans whose anticipated victory of their national rugby team was finally rewarded. Bringing the Cup home, the victorious Bokke’s exhilarating triumph was complemented by the fans’ overwhelming welcome - a huge crowd of supporters in green and gold rejoicing in song and dance. To Air Time OB facilitators, history was repeating itself in witnessing and documenting the memorable Springboks’ victory – 12 years ago to be precise. The cameras rolled while the nation united and South African history was made.1995 saw Air Time become one of the first users of virtual playbacks on a major event, the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
